Adam and Sarah matched on a Christian dating app called Upward. Adam was hesitant and pretty much over the whole dating app thing—but he was looking forward to meeting Sarah. She wasn’t so sure. Between Adam’s less-than-stellar texting skills (her words, not his!) and her own doubts, she even had an exit plan ready just in case.

But once they met in person, all the hesitation disappeared. The conversation flowed effortlessly, and what was supposed to be a quick meetup turned into an all-day first date: a walk through the botanical gardens, brunch, and church together that evening. They both left knowing this was something different. They’ve been inseparable ever since.

Now, as they approach marriage together, they've firmly made the following commitments:

1) To put Jesus first in their relationship and lives. Sarah and Adam strongly believe that He brought them together and that God is the most crucial strand in their three-strand cord.

2) To know and commit to a forever marriage--even when things get challenging and butterflies and infatuation aren't at the forefront.

3) To choose to love each other, no matter what, because love is a choice, not a feeling.
